These Terms and Conditions for booking Bella Luna Yacht Charter come into effect once we have received your initial payment (refundable deposit) and confirmed your booking. Since then, a contract has existed between you, the charterer, and us, Bella Luna Yacht, the yacht operator and owner. Upon booking, you agree to accept the Terms and Conditions of this booking on behalf of your crew.

You secure your charter date by transferring a refundable deposit in the amount of the first hour of your charter. The remaining balance will be due within seven days before the charter. After receiving the payment, we will send you a receipt for your deposit and an email confirming your reservation.
Bella Luna charters out at a regular rate of $825/ hour, plus Port taxes and other fees, depending on additional services. Port taxes and marina fees total 16% of the charter rate.
If you wish to enjoy food and beverages during your voyage, there is a $150 Venue Fee for early access and clean up during and after the charter. This fee allows up to 1/2 hour early access to the yacht to set up your food and beverages. It also provides you with our crew to clean up during and after the charter. The Venue Fee is a one-time fee and is not hourly.
For late-night charters starting at 8 PM or later, there is a premium fee of $150 per hour. Holidays and special events are subject to premium pricing. Please get in touch with us for the holiday you're interested in booking.
Bella Luna Yacht accepts most major credit cards for deposits and balance payments. Bella Luna Yacht does not accept any other form of payment.
We offer additional services, such as limousine transportation, catering, bartending, if you prefer to bring your liquor (vodka, tequila, whiskey, etc.) and open full-bar. We also have various entertainment partners depending on your event.

We only require the charterer's name and the total number of guests before boarding.
On check-in day, we ask the charterer and all of the guests to be at the marina 15 minutes before boarding to attend the safety briefing and orientation. However, we recommend arriving at least 1/2 hour early to have enough time for parking or other preparations.
The charter time is the total number of hours your reservation is made for. We have a 2-hour minimum charter time and no maximum hours. We recommend at least 3 hours to enjoy the experience fully.
If your party is late, we can delay the departure time as long as needed. However, considering our schedule and potential following charters, we must return on time.
Your reservation is secured up to 14 days before your departure time. If you need to cancel your charter outside of the 14 days, we will return 100% of your deposit. For bookings occurring on Holidays or special events, we require 30 days of notice to receive a full refund of the deposit.
If you cancel for any reason within 14 days of your departure time (or 30 days in the case of a Holiday or special event), Bella Luna Yacht reserves the right to retain 100% of your deposit. Suppose you wish to reschedule your charter for another time; we will gladly retain your deposit and apply it to your rescheduled date, even if you cancel within the 14-day, non-refundable cancellation time. We provide one year from the originally scheduled charter date and time before losing your deposit completely.
The Captain may cancel your charter for safety concerns under inclement weather or mechanical failure. If the Captain must cancel a charter for either of the causes mentioned above, we will refund 100% of your deposit or an alternative date to return under better conditions.
In the unlikely event that Bella Luna becomes disabled during your charter, you will be refunded for the time that we were unable to complete your voyage. If the Captain can fix the problem and resume your charter, we might be able to offer an extension of time to complete your charter duration.
Bella Luna will cruise within San Diego Bay at all times. Burials at sea are the only occasion when Bella Luna ventures into the ocean.
The charterer agrees to indemnify and hold Bella Luna Yacht, its owner, agents, and crew harmless from any liability, loss, personal injury, or property loss or damage they, or their guests, may suffer as a result of boarding, cruising, consumption of food and beverages including alcohol, and disembarking Bella Luna, whether by act of negligence or accident.
Certain items are strictly prohibited and will not be allowed aboard Bella Luna. The list includes but is not limited to the following: red wine, glitter, and sequins in any form (garments, accessories, decorations, etc.), mylar balloons, confetti, unshelled peanuts, or other unshelled nuts.
We ask you not to wear pointed or stiletto-heeled shoes for safety reasons. We prefer that you not bring Mylar balloons because they are unsuitable for the ocean environment if they drift away. Please do not bring anything that can puncture the boat, such as thumbtacks or push pins. If you need to use tape, please only use painter's masking tape, not Scotch tape.
Smoking is prohibited aboard Bella Luna. This includes, but is not limited to, e-cigarettes, vaping, burned tobacco, and marijuana (medicinal or otherwise). If any of your guests insist on smoking or vaping, irrespective of our policy, we reserve the right to terminate the charter, and all funds for the remainder of the voyage are to be forfeited.
